Introduction

Property Type can be defined as the “Type or Kind” associated with a property. In other words, property type represents the first-hand classification under which a property is categorized into.

Within DIGIT, the following property types are defined :

  • Built-Up: Denotes area of the land that has some kind of structure built on it.

    • Eg: Independent Building, Bhawan, etc.

  • Vacant Land: Denotes area of the land that has nothing constructed on it.

    • Eg: Construction Plot, unoccupied land, etc.

The Data collection for Property Type/ Sub-Type is independent however as for the configuration on DIGIT, both of these are merged as single type master.

Depending on the State/ULB, there can be more property types defined as per the requirement.

The first level of classification of property based on its construction is defined as Property Type. Generally the property is divided into 2 types Built-up and Vacant Land.
