The "due date" for filing income-tax returns for the Assessment-Year 2019-20 is 31.08.2019 for certain categories of taxpayers. Due to difficulties being faced by taxpayers, the Central Board of Direct Taxes has extended the "due date" from 31.07.2019 to 31.08.2019.

Miscellaneous Collections is Live
Dear All,
Happy to inform you that this week Miscellaneous Collection System has gone live on production in Punjab. Out of four pilot ULBs it’s live now in Kurali & Zirakpur, Mohali & Morind would Go-live on Monday (5th July).
Kurali has picked-up well & in 1 week 30 receipts have been issued & total collection of Rs.4,28,676.
In 1st week of Aug. (5th to 09th Aug) PMIDC would observe the system in pilot ULBs and training for MIS team & all 10 corporations will be conducted parallel. From 2nd week onwards roll-out of MCS will start in all ULBs and it would be in 3 phases as below:
Phase-I: All Municipal Corporation
Phase-II: All Municipal Council
Phase-III: All Nagar Panchayat
Thanks to all teams for making this module reality as this module is one of the most awaited module from Principal Secretary Local Government, Punjab as he has a strong vision that this system will be very helpful in reducing financial leakage in all ULBs.
PMIDC development team is also playing a vital role in roll-out as most of the configurations are being handled by them now and it’s a good response to their enablement training. Thanks to all folks who have contributed in PMIDC tech team enablement.
