Introduction
Buildings can be classified into various categories on the basis of there usage. But the National Building Code of India (NBC) classifies the buildings into the following categories.

Procedure
Data Definitions:
Building Usage Type: We need to capture the names of the different types of buildings on the basis of their usage that has been classified by the fire station in this column.
Building Group: Record the appropriate building usage group as per the NBC against each building Usage type.
How to fill data:
Identify all the different types of buildings on the basis of their usage that are being catered by the fire station.
Map the building usage types to the building usage groups as per the national building code and record the appropriate group in this column for each type individually.
Validation
In order to ensure standardization across all the fire stations in the state, it is recommended that the ontology used in the National-Building Code should be adopted.
