Introduction
Property Type can be defined as the “Type or Kind” associated with a property. In other words, property type represents the first-hand classification under which a property is categorized into.
Within DIGIT, the following property types are defined :
Built-Up: Denotes area of the land that has some kind of structure built on it.
Eg: Independent Building, Bhawan, etc.
Flat/ Part of Builtup: Represents the segment of a built-up structure.
Eg: Builder Flats etc.
Vacant Land: Denotes area of the land that has nothing constructed on it.
Eg: Construction Plot etc.
Depending on the state, there can be more property types defined as per the requirement.

Procedure
Data Definition(s)
Sr.No: Defines the serial no of the line item.
Property Type Code: Unique Identifier for Property Type as defined in the Property Master. This code represents the category that is being used to categorize the properties.
Property Type Description (English): Nomenclature of “Property Type” in English.
Status: Defines the status of a Property Type in a State/ ULB. It can be either of the following :
Active: Defines that a Property Type is active in a State/ ULB.
Unactive: Defines that a Property Type is not active in a State/ ULB.
Steps to fill data
Identify the “Property Types” that exists at a ULB/ State level.
Collect the above information and feed it below the “Property Type Description” column accordingly.
The Description of Property Type must be provided as per the language specified in the respective column.
Add the “Property Type Code” respectively against the identified Property Type(s).
The format of the Property Type Code will either be predefined or can be a continuous numeric/ alphanumeric sequence as per the requirement.
The predefined format of the Property Type Code only must be used and not any random code.
Validations
All the fields with * sign are mandatory to be filled in. Without this information, the system configurations cannot be executed.
A “single entry” should be made against the respective column. Incase of multiple entries, continuation must be followed.
The “Property Type” must be provided in the required language as mentioned against the respective column.
The format of the Property Type Code must be informed to the individual/team responsible for filling in the master data.
