Introduction

A designation is the act of pointing someone out with a name, a title or an assignment. For example, someone being named president of an organization. This document is to help gathering various designations data which are generally used in ULBs.

Procedure

Data Definition

Sr No 

Defines the serial no of the line item.

Designation Code 

Unique Identifier for Designation which is used as a reference for child configuration mapping.

Designation Name (In English )*

Nomenclature of “Designations” in English.

Designation Name (Local Language)

Designation Name in local language. e.g. Hindi, Telugu etc.

Steps to fill data

Step1: Download the data template attached to this page.

Step2: Have it open and go through all the headers and understand the meaning given in this document under section 'Data Definition'.

Step3: Make sure all the headers, its data type, field size and its definition/ description are understood properly.

Step4: In case of any doubt, please reach out to the respective person to discuss the same and clear out the doubts.

Step5: Start filling the data starting from serial no. and complete a record at once. repeat this exercise till the entire data is filled into a template.

Step6: Verify the data once again by going through the checklist and taking care of each and every point mentioned in the checklist.

Validations

  • All the fields with * sign are mandatory to be filled in.

  • A “single entry” should be made against the respective column. Incase of multiple entries, continuation must be followed.

Do’s and Don'ts

  1. Don't change the shortcodes for Designations.

  2. The spelling of the designation have to cross-verified when uploaded in the HRMS module.
