The "due date" for filing income-tax returns for the Assessment-Year 2019-20 is 31.08.2019 for certain categories of taxpayers. Due to difficulties being faced by taxpayers, the Central Board of Direct Taxes has extended the "due date" from 31.07.2019 to 31.08.2019.

Miscellaneous Collections is Live 


 

Happy to inform you that, Miscellaneous Collection System has gone live on production in Punjab. It is piloted in 4 ULBs, Kurali, Zirakpur, Mohali & Morind.

Kurali has picked-up well & in 1 week 30 receipts have been issued & total collection of Rs.4,28,676.

In 1st week of Aug. (5th to 09th Aug) PMIDC would observe the system in pilot ULBs and training for MIS team & all 10 corporations will be conducted parallel. From 2nd  week onwards roll-out of MCS will start in all ULBs and it would be in 3 phases as below:

Phase-I: All Municipal Corporation

Phase-II: All Municipal Council

Phase-III: All Nagar Panchayat

 

Thanks to all teams for making this module reality as this module was one of the most awaited modules from Principal Secretary Local Government, Punjab as he has a strong vision that this system will be very helpful in reducing financial leakage in all ULBs.
