Introduction

After we have created the fire station master, the next step would be to map the Districts, Sub-Districts, and ULBs with the fire stations. The two points that are very important to note here are:

  1. Not all the ULBs in the state may have a fire department.

  2. Usually, only the larger ULBs in the state have a fire department that caters to that ULB at the same time to all the surrounding smaller ULBs and rural areas as well.

Procedure

Data Definitions:

Urban Area

  • *District Code: Unique code given to each district in the Area served masters.

  • *ULB Code: Unique code given to each ULB in the Area served masters.

  • *Fire Station Name: The fire station that will serve the district - ULB combination for urban areas.

  • *Fire Station Code: Unique code given to each fire station in the fire station masters.

Rural Area

  • *District Code: Unique code given to each district in the Area served masters.

  • *Sub District Code: Unique code given to each sub-district in the Area served masters.

  • *Fire Station Name: The fire station that will serve the district - sub-district combination for rural areas.

  • *Fire Station Code: Unique code given to each fire station in the fire station masters.

How to fill data:

Urban Area - Fire Mapping

  1. Identify the district where fire services are provided and push their code in the district code column.

  2. Identify the ULBs within each district where fire services are provided and push their codes in the ULB code column next to the appropriate District code.

  3. Identify the fire station that is serving each District - ULB combination and push the name in the fire station column along with its unique code in the fire station code.

Rural Area - Fire Mapping

  1. Identify the district where fire services are provided and push their code in the district code column.

  2. Identify the sub-districts within each district where fire services are provided and push their codes in the sub-district code column next to the appropriate district code.

  3. Identify the fire station that is serving each District - sub-district combination and push the name in the fire station column along with its unique code in the fire station code.

Validation

Make sure that there is uniformity in the fire station code, district codes, sub-district codes, and ULB codes across the template sheets.
