Introduction

Once the Trade Categories are defined, the next task is to define :

  • “Trade Types”.

  • Map “Trade Category” & “Types”

The Trade Type can be defined as the next (2nd) level classification of the Trade. There can be multiple trade types and can vary depending on ULB to ULB, state to state.

How to fill data

  1. Download the data template attached to this page.

  2. Get a good understanding of all the headers in the template sheet, their data type, size, and definitions by referring to the ‘Data Definition’ section of this document.

  3. In case of any doubt, please reach out to the person who has shared this template with you to discuss and clear your doubts.

  4. Identify the “Trade Types” that exists at a ULB/ State level.

  5. Collect the above information and feed it below the “Trade Type Name” column accordingly. The Description of Trade Type Name must be provided as per the language specified in the respective column.

  6. Add the “Trade Type Code” respectively against the identified trade categories(s).

  7. Fill in the appropriate Trade Category Code from “Trade Category” master for the respective trade type accordingly. The predefined format of the Trade Category Code only must be used from Trade Category Master Sheet and not any random code.

  8. The respective mapping between Trade Categories & Trade Types is defined by columns “ Trade Category Code” & “Trade Type Code”.

Checklist
